» Apropos of whatever, if anyone wants to follow me off-site, I’m most active on twitter these days, and it’s probably the best way to keep in touch because I’m pretty much always on it. (Fair warning, I retweet a lot more US-centric political content than I’ve been sharing on here.) For Very Personal stuff I have a Dreamwidth account, but due to TMI and some potentially triggering content I’d rather you DM me on here if you wanna add me on there.
If you’ve followed me for/because of occasional artbarf, a lot of that is backed up on my wordpress site. Also, the husband and I are doing a YouTube channel for collaborative arts.
Oh, and since 90% of what I reblog here is dog pics, here’s an instagram I made for my large adult son who is a dog.

HOT TIP: if you’ve been struggling to work on your comic and feel like your passion project has become a chore, put those pages/scripts/concept designs on hold for a second and just. DRAW YOUR OCS BE CUTE. let them goof off. maybe smooch. hug. dumb shit. it’s good for you
I know it’s easy to focus on just the “productive” side of your project and feel like it’s best to spend your time working on actual pages and all, but it’s important to break out of the loop of “gotta get this thing done” and just have fun with it sometimes?
not that I don’t enjoy drawing the actual comic, but there’s a lot of pressure that keeps building up- making sure everything looks right and worrying about dialogue choices and keeping an eye on the plot etc. I like those challenges but sometimes you gotta just… stop
of course you could draw stuff non-related to that project to let off steam! but. I find long-term this isn’t enough, because it trains your brain to connect your project only to pressure and that all the fun is elsewhere. which isn’t very motivating
in a similar vein, if you’ve been drawing sad & heavy scenes for months on end PLEASE draw some happy extras sometimes. you don’t realise how much that shit weighs on you until you see them smile again and you’re like damn, I needed that

30 / jolt
I’ve been having a hard time sleeping because of anxiety about, well, everything. Sage can probably relate, although magic-induced earthquakes might have a little more to do with it in his case.

29 / double
Another one that’s kind of a prequel to a thing.
